GUWAHATI: The Assam Government is poised to establish eight new Adarsha Vidyalayas across various districts of Assam.
There are currently 56 Adarsha Vidyalayas in the state, out of which 13 have already been upgraded to the senior secondary level. The institutions include 17,544 enrolled students, 551 engaged teachers, and 246 non-teaching staff.

The proposed establishment of eight new Adarsha Vidyalayas will further extend the reach of quality education in districts that include Lakhimpur, Sonitpur, Charaideo, Kamrup (M), Kamrup, Sivasagar, and Cachar.
