Assam To Build ₹62 Crore Railway Overbridge Near Pathsala

 

GUWAHATI: The Assam government has approved a railway overbridge worth ₹62 crore near Pathsala on Asom Mala Road.

This was announced by State Rural Minister Ranjeet Kumar Das on Wednesday, February 12. “Huge thanks to Hon. CM Dr. @himantabiswa for the approval!” Das shared on X.

This new overbridge is expected to benefit residents of southern Patacharkuchi, particularly those commuting to Tihu, Nalbari, Guwahati, Howly, and Barpeta Road. The project has been taken up to improve connectivity and ease traffic congestion in the region.

Notably, the Asom Mala programme has been implemented to enhance road infrastructure across the state, with new overbridges being a key addition to the network.

Further details regarding the construction timeline and execution are awaited from the government.
