GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at the 4th Superintendent of Police (SP) Conference in Bongaigaon, unveiled major plans to boost police infrastructure and strengthen law enforcement across the state.
During his speech, CM Sarma assured that Assam Police would soon become a zero-vacancy force as all vacant positions would be filled up in the near future.
To expand the reach and accessibility of law enforcement, CM Sarma announced the construction of 119 new Police Stations across the state.
Another significant milestone on the agenda is the establishment of permanent office infrastructure for all 5 Battalions by February 2024.
