GUWAHATI: An unidentified criminal broke into a family's residence on Hindi School Road in Golaghat town, on Monday afternoon leaving three family members dead and an infant missing.
The assailant attacked the family with a sharp object, resulting in the loss of three lives.
Their bodies were found with multiple injury marks, as informed by the Golaghat Police officials.
According to the police officials, an investigation has been initiated in order to apprehend the culprit behind the murder.
Additionally, the police informed that a 9-month-old infant has also been reported missing after the incident.
The police officials have also initiated an investigation to track down the baby.
Among the suspects in this triple murder case, an individual identified as Nazibur Rahman has come under suspicion, as per media reports, but the police have not officially confirmed his involvement.
Further investigations are underway to shed light on the motives and circumstances surrounding this heartrending tragedy.
