GUWAHATI: Mayur Hazarika from Tezpur has secured fifth position in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Service Examination 2022.
An alumnus of Don Bosco High School, Tezpur, Mayur Hazarika is currently a doctor by profession.
Mayur Hazarika finished Class 10 in 2015 from Don Bosco School, Tezpur, and Class 12 in 2017 from Ramanujan Junior College in Nagaon.
He ranked 10th in the state in Class 10 and 9th in his Class 12 exams.
Afterward, Hazarika joined Guwahati Medical College Hospital to study medicine, and after graduating, he became a doctor for the state government while preparing for civil service exams.
He was working at NHM, Assam.

According to official reports, seven candidates from Assam have secured AIR in UPSC this year.
Ishita Kishore topped the civil services examination followed by Garima Lohia, Uma Harathi M, and Smriti Mishra.
A total of 13,090 candidates had qualified for the Written (Mains) Examination which was held in September 2022. And 933 candidates have been recommended for appointment as per the notification released by UPSC.
