GUWAHATI: In a series of recent operations targeting "Teer" gambling, Dhubri police has arrested two individuals involved in separate raids. These operations were carried out by different teams of the Dhubri Police, to tackle illegal gambling practices.
The first arrest was made under Nayeralga OP police team. During the operation, the suspect was apprehended, and evidence in the form of Teer tickets and a mobile phone containing records of Teer calculations were seized.
In another incident, Transport Sub Inspector (TSI) from Gauripur Police Station (PS) busted another nexus and apprehended another person.
Following the arrest, the authorities uncovered Teer gambling records, a sum of cash linked to these activities, and mobile phones used in the illegal gambling operations. These arrests and seizures are part of the ongoing efforts to combat illegal gambling practices within the region.
