Affiliated with CITU/AIPWF, the union highlighted the dire economic and social conditions faced by tea labourers in the state, stating that despite Assam's significant contribution to India's tea production, workers in tea estates continue to suffer from low wages and inadequate facilities.

It further specified that tea workers in other parts of India receive higher wages, making the situation in Assam more concerning. They emphasised the necessity of a minimum daily wage increase to ₹661.00, in line with past promises and the growing cost of living.

The organisation also raised concerns over the delay in implementing past wage revisions. They demanded interim relief for workers until a final wage structure is decided, and criticised tea estate owners for failing to ensure the well-being of workers.

Additionally, the poor living standards of tea garden workers was highlighted. The union mentioned that workers continue to reside in inadequate housing, lack proper healthcare, and face high illiteracy rates. It urged the state government to implement long-term policies for education, healthcare, and social security to uplift the tea labour community.

Overall, the three primary demands put forth by ACMS are as follows:

1. A daily wage increase to ₹661.00
2. Strategic discussions on addressing the financial struggles of tea workers
3. Timely government intervention to improve overall working conditions.

A memorandum was signed in this regard by the union’s leaders and submitted to the chief minister for consideration.
