Assam: Suspected Heroin Seized In Separate Operations, Two Arrested

 

GUWAHATI: The Nagaon District Police, led by Sub-Inspector Raja Irshad of Kachua Police Station, successfully conducted an anti-narcotics operation.

During the operation, the police team recovered two soapboxes containing a substance suspected to be heroin, with a net weight of approximately 24.38 grams.

The operation led to the immediate arrest of the accused, who will now face further legal proceedings.

In a separate anti-narcotics operation supervised by Sub-Inspector Adith Boro, the Officer-in-Charge of Dhing Police Station, another significant seizure was made.

One soapbox, believed to contain heroin with a net weight of 11.6 grams, was recovered.

The accused in this case has also been apprehended and will be subject to subsequent legal actions.

Nagaon Police put out a statement on X, which read, “A District Police team led by SI Raja Irshad of Kachua PS conducted an Anti Narcotics Operation and recovered 2 Soap Boxes Containing suspected Heroin of Net Weight 24.38 Grams. The accused is arrested for further Legal Action.”

“An Anti Narcotics operation conducted by SI Adith Boro, OC Dhing PS led to the recovery of one Soap Box containing Suspected Heroin of Net Weight 11.60 Grams. The accused is arrested for further Legal Action,” Nagaon Police further stated.
