GUWAHATI: The Cachar Police intercepted a four-wheeler vehicle with a stash of suspected heroin on August 22 in Silchar.
According to official information, authorities seized a staggering 1.5 kg of heroin cleverly concealed within 104 soap cases.
The operation also resulted in the apprehension of four individuals suspected of involvement in drug trafficking. The operation, executed by Assam Police, unfolded when officers received a tip-off regarding a suspicious vehicle travelling through the NIT Ghungoor NH bypass.
Acting swiftly, the police team set up a checkpoint and intercepted the vehicle in question. Upon thorough inspection, they made a shocking discovery of the alleged heroin.
