GUWAHATI: The Assam State Election Commission announced the dates of elections for the 36 constituencies of the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council on Friday, March 7.

The last date for filing nominations is set for March 15 between 11 AM and 3 PM, with scrutiny of nomination papers taking place on March 17 at 11 AM. Following the scrutiny, the list of validly nominated candidates will be published the same day. Candidates wishing to withdraw their candidature must do so by 3 PM on March 19, after which the final list of contesting candidates will be published.
Polling is scheduled for April 2 from 7 AM to 3 PM. In case a re-poll is required, it will take place on April 3 within the same timeframe. Counting of votes will commence on April 4 from 8 AM. The final results will be declared on the same day.
A total of 4,45,586 voters, comprising 2,16,181 males, 2,29,394 females, and 11 others, are eligible to cast their votes across 630 polling stations. The election also includes reservations, with 25 constituencies reserved for Scheduled Tribes, six for women, and 11 unreserved.
The maximum expenditure limit for each candidate has been capped at ₹2.50 lakh. Additionally, the commission has set the number of star campaigners allowed for recognised national and state political parties at a maximum of 20, while registered unrecognised parties can have up to 10.
