GUWAHATI: The Assam State Civilian Awards are scheduled to be announced on Magh Bihu this year, as announced during the State Cabinet Meeting held on January 7.
The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in February this year, with the Governor set to preside over the event.
During the State Cabinet Meeting, the government declared its intention to recognise outstanding individuals with the Assam State Civilian Awards. This initiative aims to acknowledge and appreciate the contributions of individuals from various fields who have made significant positive impacts on society.
The awards ceremony will also simultaneously celebrate the state's cultural ethos and celebrates the spirit of hard work, dedication, and community bonding.
