Assam Senior Women’s Team Announced For BCCI T-20 Tournament Opener

GUWAHATI: The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) has announced the senior women’s team set to represent the state in the upcoming BCCI Senior Women's T-20 Tournament. The squad will play its first two matches against Meghalaya and Madhya Pradesh at Trivandrum, starting on October 17, 2024.

Monikha Das will lead the team as captain, with Khushi Sharma and Gayatri Gurung among the key players. The team also features Ruhina Pegu, Priyanka Boruah, and wicketkeeper Maina Narah. Rising stars like Rashmi Dey, Florina Taye, and Nirupama Baro are also included, bringing a balanced mix of experience and young talent.

The standby players include Swastika Gogoi, Binkimoni Saikia, and Santi Rai, offering further depth to the squad. The coaching and support team will be led by head coach Pritam Gandhe, with Ritu Dhruv serving as coach. Tanuja Lele, Gita Priyadarshini Bezbaruah, and Meenakshi Ghosh round out the support staff, ensuring the team is well-prepared both physically and mentally for the tournament.
