GUWAHATI: A science teacher in Kulsipara area of Udalguri district in Assam allegedly tried to sacrifice a child on Saturday, July 6.
The teacher has been identified as Jadab Saharia.
Based on reports, he tried to sacrifice a relative by setting ablaze the latter’s house.

The police conducted a five-hour long operation to detain all family members of Saharia and rescued the child.
It should be noted that two journalists were also brutally attacked by the family of Saharia and had to be admitted to the hospital.
Police are conducting further investigation on the matter.
