GUWAHATI: In a proactive measure to tackle the surging temperatures, the Nagaon district administration has recently issued an official order, rescheduling the timing of classes for all educational institutions, both government and private, with immediate effect.
The decision comes in view of the rising temperatures in Assam.
As per the new schedule, classes will now commence at 7:30 AM instead of the previous timings and get over by 12:15 PM for elementary and middle schools and by 1:15 PM for high schools.
This alteration will allow students and teachers to avoid the peak hours of intense heat and benefit from relatively cooler temperatures during morning hours.
