GUWAHATI: The lovers of Assamese literature now have a new reason to rejoice as the Guwahati office of Assam Sahitya Sabha has undergone a complete overhaul.
Assam Sahitya Sabha is a significant centre for Assamese culture and literature in the city and is located in Ambari. The building earlier only had a ground floor and a small auditorium and has been completely revamped.
“The building now hosts four new halls and two auditoriums which are complete with all latest facilities and equipment,” informed secretary of the Assam Sahitya Sabha Chandan Sarmah.
He added that all the newly constructed additions to the building of the Sahitya Sabha has been undertaken by people closely associated with the literary organisation and wanted to donate something for the development and welfare of the Sahitya Sabha in Guwahati.
