GUWAHATI: The Assam Sahitya Sabha announced the names of winners for this year on Sunday, January 22.
According to a statement, the following are the awardees :
• M Kamaluddin Ahmed has been chosen for the Ambikagiri Roychoudhury award
• Purna Bhattacharya will be conferred with Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha Award
• Nilakshi Chaliha Gogoi will be conferred with Basanti Bordoloi Award
• Gangapada Choudhury to be conferred with the Hem Baruah Award.
Furthermore, the Assam Sahitya Sabha announced that:
• Mukut Sarma will be conferred with Buduram Panging Memorial Award
• Anjali Mahanta to be conferred with Phani Talukdar-Doli Talukdar Byanga Sahitya Award
• Bhupendra Raichoudhury to be conferred with Bharat Chandra Barua Award
• Ranjit Patgiri will be conferred with Amulya Baruah Kobi Award
• Pratibha Bhagawati to be conferred with Giridhar Sarma Award.
The awards will be conferred to the awardees during the upcoming session of the Sahitya Sabha which is to be held on February 2 at Narayanpur.
