Assam's Adil Hussain and Dipannita Sharma Comes Together For Short Film on LGBT Challenges

GUWAHATI: Tushar Tyagi and Ritika Jayaswal’s short film ‘Saving Chintu’ features Assam born actors Adil Hussain and Dipannita Sharma. 

The cast of the film will also include Bollywood-based American actor Edward Sonnenblick and Los Angeles-based actor Sachin Bhatt. 

Saving Chintu revolves around the lives of an Indian-American gay couple, in India to adopt a child. The film explores the challenges faced by LGBTQ community and also brings more complex issues to perspective.

The trailer of the short film was released on 4 February.

Adil Hussain, who hails from Goalpara town in Assam, is best known for his roles in the films English Vinglish and Life of Pi. The 56-year-old actor has acted in many English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Tamil, Marathi, Malayalam, Norwegian and even French films.

Supermodel and actress Dipannita Sharma is known for her role in films like Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, Jodi Breakers, War and International Award-winning Assamese film Xhoixobote Dhemalite.
