GUWAHATI: A dumper truck toppled on the road on Sonapur highway on Saturday morning, leaving one person injured.
The accident occurred when a tire burst led to the truck losing control, as per an eye witness at the scene. With a heavy cargo load, the vehicle turned over on the roadway. Fortunately, there were no other vehicles nearby at the scene of the accident.
An official from the Sonapur traffic police, speaking to G Plus, said, "The driver sustained significant injuries during the accident and has been transported to a nearby hospital for immediate medical attention.”
“We have started to safely clear the overturned dumper truck to facilitate the resumption of normal traffic flow for commuters," the official further added.
