GUWAHATI: Authorities conducted a raid in the Manas National Park, resulting in the seizure of various animal body parts, including a rhino horn at the dawn of September 8.
This operation, which took place on September 8, also led to the apprehension of poachers who were actively engaged in the illegal hunting and trafficking of these animal parts to the highest bidders in underground markets.

Officials disclosed that this pre-dawn operation was executed based on intelligence inputs and meticulous monitoring of developments within the Manas National Park in Assam.
Among the confiscated items were not only the coveted rhino horn but also antlers, tusks, and various animal bones, underscoring the scope and scale of the illegal wildlife trade.
