GUWAHATI: Assam's Education Minister, Ranoj Pegu, announced the release of an annual School Grant totalling ₹15.61 Crores today.
This financial allocation is set to benefit 11,237 Elementary Schools across Assam and is being disbursed through the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (Samagra Assam).
The release of these funds will promote quality education and ensure that elementary schools have the necessary resources to function effectively. Notably, the grant had been temporarily withheld due to delays in updating school and teacher or staff profiles in the Siksha Setu platform. Pegu also announced that 100% of Government and Provincialized schools have successfully registered in the Siksha Setu platform.
