GUWAHATI: Assam has been ranked third in the Smart Policing Index 2021. Assam has a smart index score of 7.89. Meanwhile, another Northeast India state, Sikkim, is in the 5th position with a score of 7.18. The rankings have been published in IPF Smart Policing Survey 2021.
The top 5 states include Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Assam, Kerela, and Sikkim. The states/UTs that have the topmost Smart Policing Scores, indicate the highest levels of citizen satisfaction and trust.
Assam Director-General Of Police (DGP) thanked the people of the State for their trust in the police force. "Gratitude to Hon. Chief Minister for his continuous support and guidance. Most importantly, heartfelt THANK YOU to the great people of Assam! THANK YOU for trusting, appreciating, and showing confidence in us! We are indebted! Yet we promise to do better," DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta tweeted.
Assam Police stood well in the individual criteria.
