Assam Governor Offers Scholarships for Civil Service Aspirants

GUWAHATI: Raj Bhavan has announced the Pratibha Protsahan Yojana 2024-25 to support aspiring civil servants in Assam by providing financial aid and high-quality coaching. This initiative is a partnership with Paavan Chintan Dhara Ashram and Arya Pratibha Vikas Sansthan.

Online applications will be accepted through the Gappy Assam portal from 5 PM on September 27 to 5 PM on October 6. The screening test is scheduled for October 20, with results to be announced on October 27. Coaching will commence on November 18. 

Under this programme, 500 candidates will be sponsored for online coaching, and 10 candidates for in-person coaching in Delhi NCR, with mentorship from Paavan Chintan Dhara Ashram. Additionally, 2 candidates will be mentored by Arya Pratibha Vikas Sansthan, funded by Raj Bhavan.

Candidates will be selected through the All Assam Talent Search Examination, followed by group counseling and personal interviews conducted by Raj Bhavan, Assam. Shortlisted candidates will receive their admit cards via email, with no physical copies issued. The scholarship will cover coaching fees, accommodation, and meals, but any additional expenses will be the candidates responsibility.

The screening test will accommodate 5,000 shortlisted candidates at  Guwahati, Jorhat, Silchar, and Bongaigaon, based on Class 12 and graduation percentages. Group counseling and personal interviews will take place in Guwahati only.

Raj Bhavan will handle any disputes related to the programme.
