GUWAHATI: The Assam Publishing Company has released the much-anticipated second edition of Anatole France's "Thais" in Assamese. This comes exactly 59 years after the book's initial publication. Golok Chandra Datta adeptly translated the work, marking his debut as a published translator.

The edition features a thoughtfully designed cover page by renowned artist Sourish Mitra from Kolkata. The Assam Publishing Company has set a modest price of ₹250 for the second edition of "Thais."
