GUWAHATI: Officials of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Terrorism (DVAC) have arrested the Principal of the Food Craft Institute in Samaguri on the charges of bribery today.
According to reports, Jalen Baishya, the In-charge Principal of the Food Craft Institute in Samaguri was caught red-handed accepting a bribe from a complainant at Samaguri Tiniali in exchange for releasing payments against pending bills.
The DVAC took to X to put out, “Today @DIR_VAC_ASSAM trapped red handed Jalen Baishya, In-charge Principal, Food Craft Institute, Samaguri, Dist- Nagaon, after he accepted bribe from the complainant at Samaguri Tiniali for releasing payments against bills.”
