GUWAHATI: The second edition of the prestigious Biju Phukan Recognition Award 2020 is all set to be hosted in Guwahati on December 21 to commemorate the life and work of popular Assamese actor of yesteryears, Biju Phukan.

The award is organised by the Royal Affair Group, in consultation with the late actor's family.
The awards acknowledge and recognise personalities and institutions of various sectors for their outstanding contribution in their respective discipline and towards the society, from both the entertainment and non-entertainment backgrounds like healthcare, mass media and others.
Last year G Plus was recognised for its contribution to the field of mass media.
The recipients of the second edition of the Biju Phukan Recognition Award include prominent personalities like Prasanta Rajguru, Vidya Rao (to be conferred the life-time achievement award), Monjul Baruah, Nurul Islam Laskar, Shiladitya Chetia, Arghadeep Barua, Ravi Sarma, Siddharth Sharma, Asomiya Pratidin, Deepshikha Foundation, Abhijit Singha, Shankuraj Konwar, the movie ‘Ratnakar,’ Dr. Manash P Baruah, Akshar Foundation, RJ Pahi, A Rahim Zibran, Bhaskar Tamuly, Deepak Kayal, Barsha Rani Bishaya, Pratidin Time, Rang, Navanita Sharma, and Jatin Bora, Nayan Pratim Kumar, Dr Anindita P Das, and Beharbari Outpost.
The award ceremony, a closed-door event, will be held at Hotel Gateway Grandeur in Guwahati from 4 pm onwards.
