Assam: Police Initiate Action After Video Of Bajrang Dal's Alleged Arms Training Camp Surfaces On Social Media

GUWAHATI: In response to a video circulating on social media allegedly showing members of the Rashtriya Bajrang Dal allegedly undergoing arms training, including handling small guns at a school in Mangaldai, the Assam police have decided to take prompt action. 

 

The Director General of Police (DGP) Assam, GP Singh, directed the Darrang Police to register a case under the relevant sections of the law and launch a thorough investigation into the matter.

The video that emerged on social media reportedly depicted around 350 young men in Assam's Mornoi village participating in the arms training session conducted by the Bajrang Dal.

Taking cognizance of the seriousness of the situation, the Assam police have been closely monitoring developments to ensure public safety and adherence to regulations. 

In his tweet addressing the issue, DGP Assam GP Singh wrote, "Reference Mangaldai video - SP @Darrang_Police has been instructed to register a case under appropriate sections of law & investigate the matter and take lawful action."
