GUWAHATI: The allocation of portfolios for the Minister of Medical Education and Research Department (MERD) in Assam has been partially modified. A recent notification specifies that all schemes and matters under the Atal Amrit Abhiyan Society will now fall under the Minister's responsibility, replacing the previously allocated Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana.

"All schemes/ matters under Atal Amrit Abhiyan Society" in place of "Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana".
The notification also clarifies the portfolio for the Chief Minister, stating "except schemes/matters under Atal Amrit Abhiyan Society," instead of the previous reference to "Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana."
The revised notification was issued on February 1.
