Assam Police Foils Infiltration Attempt In Karimganj

GUWAHATI: Assam Police in Karimganj prevented an illegal infiltration attempt along the Indo-Bangladesh border. Assam police pushed back Arafat Hussain, a Bangladeshi national, as he attempted to cross into Indian territory on Oct 15.

Assam CM took on 'X' saying about the operation, "Maintaining strict vigil along the Indo-Bangladesh border, @assampolice in Karimganj managed to push back 1 illegal Bangladeshi infiltrator, Arafat Hussain Good job Team! We are committed to a secure border!"

Earlier, on September 27, Assam Police conducted a similar operation, intercepting three Bangladeshi nationals who had illegally crossed the border. The individuals, identified as Masum Khan, Iqbal Hussain, and Mujanur Rehman, were quickly apprehended by the authorities. Following the interception, they were sent back to Bangladesh.
