GUWAHATI: An Assam Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) in Nagaon was arrested for allegedly offering a bribe for posting at a police station. He was arrested on June 2.
ASI Abdul Matlib has been arrested by the Nagaon DSP, Tridip Kumbang. Matlib was serving as reserve-closed for a long time and tried to offer ₹10,000 as a bribe to DSP Kumbang for a posting at a police station.
Nagaon Superintendent of Police, Leena Doley confirmed that Matlib has been arrested.
