GUWAHATI: The police seized a substantial quantity of suspected heroin along with a significant sum of cash on October 31 in Silapathar, Dhemaji.
This operation conducted by the police under Dhemaji also led to the arrest of an individual who was linked to the possession of 239 gram of suspected heroin. In addition to the narcotics, the police also seized an amount of 1,06,700 (one lakh six thousand seven hundred) in cash from the suspect.
Assam Police took to X to put out,” On (31/10/2023), the Silapathar police of Dhemaji district arrested a man and seized 239 grams of suspected heroin and Rs 1,06,700 (one lakh six thousand seven hundred) from him.“

The individual has been taken into custody with legal proceedings having been initiated.
