GUWAHATI: The Assam Government has issued new guidelines in pursuance of the Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) issued by the Union Ministry for Unlock 1.
The new state guidelines however, have certain modifications over the order that was issued on 18th May that has been followed till date.
As per the new modifications, the night curfew timing has been changed to 9 pm to 5 am from the earlier 7 pm-7 am. Movement of individuals shall remain strictly prohibited between 9.00 pm to 5.00 am throughout the State, except for essential activities.
Local authorities shall issue orders, in the entire area of their jurisdiction, under appropriate provisions of law, such as under Section 144 of CrPC, and ensure strict compliance.
