This body aims to enhance accountability and ensure the timely delivery of government services.
With this development, citizens can now lodge grievances with ASCRTPS if listed government services are not provided within the stipulated time frame. The Commission is empowered to initiate necessary actions to address such complaints, offering a robust mechanism for redressal.
The RTPS Act, originally enacted in 2012, has undergone amendments in 2019 and again in 2024 to improve service delivery standards. The latest iteration introduces a three-tier appeal system, which facilitates not only applicant appeals but also allows designated public officials and appellate authorities to seek clarifications or justifications.
This approach ensures a fair and efficient review process, strengthening transparency and accountability in governance while empowering citizens to demand their rights effectively.
