Assam Inaugurates Development Projects Worth ₹470 Crore In Chirang And Kokrajhar

 

GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma marked a significant milestone in the development of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) by dedicating multiple projects with a total value of ₹470 crore to the people of Chirang and Kokrajhar. These developmental projects span various sectors and are poised to bring a positive transformation to the lives of the people in the region.

The inaugurated projects include the Railway Overbridge, Kashikotra-Basugaon-Talguri Road (₹64 crore), RCC Bridge over River Kuklung, Bijni-Kuklung Road (₹11 crore), RCC Bridge over River Sika, Bishnupur Market-Sikajhara Road (₹4 crore), improved Panbari Bijni Road via Gerukabari (₹11 crore), and Construction Skill Training Centre (₹3 crore).

Additionally, foundation stones were laid for the improvement and upgradation of Chapaguri-Amteka Road (₹205 crore), Jal Jeevan Missions in Champawati and Chaurang Multi-village Piped Water Supply Scheme (₹132 crore), and District Sports Stadium Complex, Kajalgaon (₹40 crore).

The investments in road infrastructure, skill development, water supply schemes, and sports facilities are expected to have a positive and lasting impact on the quality of life and economic prospects for the people in Chirang and Kokrajhar.
