GUWAHATI: The results of the Assam Higher Secondary Final Examination (AHSEC), 2024, are out today, May 9, revealing the pass percentages for students across three major streams: Arts, Science, and Commerce. The results offer a district-wise breakdown of the total number of candidates who appeared for the exam, those who passed, and their respective division.
In the arts stream, a total of 2,00,495 candidates appeared for the exam. Out of these, 1,78,806 candidates passed, giving a pass percentage of 89.18%. Among the districts, Baksa had the highest pass percentage with 97.44%, closely followed by Nalbari with 97.03%. The district with the lowest pass percentage was Cachar with 74.21%.

The breakdown for the Arts stream is:
• 1st Division: 40,499 students
• 2nd Division: 65,532 students
• 3rd Division: 72,775 students

In the Science stream, a total of 54,460 candidates appeared, with 48,953 passing, resulting in a pass percentage of 89.88%. The highest pass percentage was recorded in Tamulpur with 97.98%, while the lowest was in Majuli with 79.89%.
The breakdown for the Science stream is:
• 1st Division: 23,552 students
• 2nd Division: 17,339 students
• 3rd Division: 8,062 students

The Commerce stream saw a total of 17,307 candidates, with 15,196 passing, leading to an overall pass percentage of 87.80%. Sivasagar had the highest pass percentage with 97.42%, while Dhubri recorded the lowest with 61.38%.
The breakdown for the Commerce stream is:
• 1st Division: 5,915 students
• 2nd Division: 6,087 students
• 3rd Division: 3,194 students
