GUWAHATI: Several personalities were recognised during the Silpi Diwas celebrations held at Tezpur Collegiate Higher Secondary School on January 17.
The Assam Cabinet Minister of Industries & Commerce and Public Enterprises, and Cultural Affairs, Bimal Borah joined Cabinet Minister of Housing & Urban Affairs and Irrigation, Ashok Singhal attended the celebrations.
The event was organised by the Assam Cultural Affairs Department commemorating the life and achievements of the legendary artistic genius, Jyoti Prasad Agarwala.
During the event, awards were presented to distinguished personalities for their significant contributions in their respective fields.

• Artist of the Year Award 2024 – Manisha Hazarika
The ceremony also witnessed the ceremonial distribution of the Silpi Pension for 2023-24, acknowledging the significant contributions of various artists.
