"We are working tirelessly to establish a semiconductor manufacturing cluster in Jagiroad,” Sarma said, “which will not only support the upcoming TSAT facility but also ensure that we are at the forefront of technological innovation."

To ensure the initiative’s success, the State government will also address infrastructure and regulatory challenges while offering strategic support to stakeholders. "The government's backing will be instrumental in overcoming logistical and regulatory hurdles, making the project not only feasible but also sustainable," Sarma added.

This cluster aims to develop a comprehensive ecosystem for semiconductor technology by targeting over 61 types of raw materials and collaborating with more than 150 potential suppliers.

By attracting key suppliers of raw materials and equipment, the project will focus on streamlining logistics for cost-efficient and timely delivery, which will in turn create opportunities for local businesses and industries.
