Assam Govt suspends 116 teachers for using unfair means during B. Ed Exam

The Assam government has suspended 116 teachers after they were caught adopting unfair means while appearing in the B.Ed, DEl.Ed examination conducted by the Krishnakanta Handique State Open University.

 

Assam Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that these teachers were rusticated from the examination halls after they were caught adopting unfair means.

 

“Among the suspended teachers, 93 are regular teachers under Directorate of Elementary education, 22 are contractual teachers under Sarva Siksha Abhiyan (SSA) and 1 under BTC sixth scheduled area,” Sarma said.

 

Assam Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that, a departmental inquiry has also being initiated against the teachers.
