This holiday will apply to all state government offices and educational institutions located in the district, as per an official notification from the General Administration Department.

The notification also extends the holiday to financial institutions, invoking Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. This legislative provision, combined with the Ministry of Home Affairs’ guidelines, allows the suspension of business on recognized holidays.

All officials and institutions have been duly notified, ensuring they are prepared for the district-wide holiday. Public announcements will also be made through the Directorate of Information & Public Relations, All India Radio, and Doordarshan Kendra in Guwahati.

For more information, residents and institutions may refer to the General Administration Department’s official website or reach out via their official email.
