Assam Governor Urges Swift Implementation Of Eight Welfare Schemes

 

GUWAHATI: Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya on Monday, February 10, directed district officials to ensure the swift and transparent implementation of ten welfare schemes initiated by Raj Bhavan.

Addressing all district commissioners (DCs) and superintendents of police (SPs) through video conferencing, the governor emphasised that these schemes are crucial for the social and economic development of the state.

“Today, through video conferencing, in the presence of Chief Secretary of Assam, Shri Ravi Kota, I interacted with all the District Deputy Commissioners, District Superintendents of Police and officers of the three autonomous councils and directed them to make dedicated efforts for the effective implementation of ten important schemes of Raj Bhavan,” Acharya posted on X.

“These schemes are dedicated to the highest values ​​like knowledge, labour, excellence, language, duty, service, awareness and national security, which will play an important role in strengthening, organising and prospering the society,” he added.

Acharya further assured officials that Raj Bhavan would provide the necessary logistical support and resources for the effective implementation of the schemes. Cooperation from all district authorities was sought to ensure that the schemes are implemented successfully.
