Assam Governor Felicitates B Borooah College Principal And Teachers For Achieving NAAC Grade A++

GUWAHATI: Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria honoured the Principal and faculty members of B Borooah College during a ceremony at the Raj Bhavan's conference hall on November 7.

The occasion was marked by the college's outstanding achievement of receiving a Grade A++ rating from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The Governor extended his heartfelt congratulations to the college's Principal and the entire academic community.

He expressed his satisfaction at the remarkable achievement, emphasising that it reflects the dedication of the broader B Borooah College fraternity, particularly the faculty members. He further noted with pride that this achievement is a pioneering one for the entire North Eastern Region.

The Governor underscored the resolute commitment of the teachers and other stakeholders in the realms of teaching and research. He believed that this accolade would invigorate the academic and research environment within the institution.

The event also witnessed the presence of distinguished figures such as Advisor of Education in the Assam Government, Prof. Nani Gopal Mahanta, Advisor of Chancellor's Secretariat, Prof. Mihir K. Chaudhuri, Commissioner and Secretary to the Governor, SS Meenakshi Sundaram, and Director of Higher Education, Pomy Baruah.

B Borooah College, located in Guwahati, secured an A++ grade from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.62.
