GUWAHATI: In the recent Assam Cabinet meeting held on Monday in Dibrugarh, Assam, the Assam Cabinet decided to change the names of the designations of some of the posts at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner.
This decision comes after the long-standing demands stated by the All Assam District Administration Employees Union.

The changes have been made as follows:
- The post of Junior Assistant has been changed to Junior District Administrative Assistant.
- The post of Senior Assistant has been changed to Senior District Administrative Assistant.
- The post of the Head Assistant has been changed to District Administrative Head Assistant.
- The post of Supervisory Assistant has been changed to District Supervisory Head Assistant.
