This initiative is to address the healthcare challenges faced by tea garden workers and their families, who often struggle to access traditional healthcare facilities due to their remote locations.

The MMUs, a network of 80 vehicles, are designed to serve over 514 tea gardens across the state, bringing healthcare services directly to the doorsteps of those who often struggle to access traditional healthcare centres due to the isolation of their locations.

Each MMU is equipped with medical equipment, enabling healthcare professionals to offer a broad range of services, including free medicines, diagnostic tests, and medical consultations.
