GUWAHATI: The Assam government has approved a budget of ₹190 crore to provide free medicines across the state for economically weaker and middle-class families.

This decision, announced during the recent Cabinet meeting on Friday, April 4 chaired by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, aims to improve access to essential healthcare.
