GUWAHATI: The flood situation in Assam is still grim as the death toll rises to 29. Over 2 lakh people are currently affected by floods in Assam, as of June 23.

The Disaster Reporting and Information Management System (DRIMS) of Assam has provided an extensive report on the flood situation as of Sunday, which states that a total of 12 districts have been affected by the floods.
A total of 810 villages have been affected by the rising water levels. 4274.13 hectares of crop area have been affected across the state. 107 relief camps have been opened across the districts which are currently harbouring 12081 inmates for flood relief.
In context to the urban floods in Assam, the number of affected districts is 1. A total of 428 people have been affected by the urban floods, with 428 inmates in three relief camps across the district. There has been one recorded death.
