GUWAHATI: A young man was allegedly murdered by his own family, in Bakul Kath village of Dibrugarh, Assam.

The man identified as 22-year-old Hirakjyoti Dutta, was an employee at Blue Dart, who was allegedly attacked by his family members while he was sleeping at night.
Hirakjyoti had been reportedly accused of subjecting his parents to prolonged physical and mental abuse. In a tragic escalation of domestic tensions, his parents, Pallavi Dutta, and Manoj Dutta, along with his younger brother Suman Dutta, allegedly carried out the fatal assault using sharp weapons, leading to his death.
Talking to GPlus, a police official from Lahowal police station said, “The incident occurred on Saturday night and we received it on Sunday, the family members have been arrested in connection to the incident. We are investigating the matter.”
