Assam Excise Portal wins SKOCH Award

GUWAHATI: Assam Excise Portal developed by AMTRON has won the SKOCH AWARD in the corporate excellence category in the highest rank of platinum, which is considered as the topmost framed rank of this award ceremony. 

The ceremony, which was in its 58th edition, was held on June 29.

It is to be mentioned that the Excise Department of Assam took it as a major challenge to convert the whole department into a paperless environment and this policy was hence implemented under the leadership of Excise Minister Parimal Suklabaidya.

The award was conferred by the Chairman of SKOCH group Samir Kochhar in New Delhi to the Chairman of AMTRON and MLA of Ramendra Narayan Kalita, Managing Director of AMTRON MK Jadav and Commissioner of Excise Assam.

The event received more than 1000 nominations. It saw the presence of tough contenders right from the Defence Ministry to the corporate giants like Bharati AXA and Airtel among others.
