Assam: Elephant Safari Open For Tourists At Kaziranga National Park

GUWAHATI: In a much-anticipated announcement, the authorities at Kaziranga National Park have revealed the official schedule for elephant safaris.

The elephant safaris, a highlight of visiting the national park, offer visitors a chance to get up close with the remarkable wildlife that inhabits this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The elephant safari season at Kaziranga National Park typically runs from November 1 to April 30.

During this period, tourists can embark on an early morning adventure aboard these majestic creatures.

The morning elephant safari is organised in two sessions:

First Session: The first batch of riders sets off from 5.15 AM to 6.15 AM.
Second Session: The second group of visitors enjoys their ride from 6:15 AM to 7:15 AM.

In rare circumstances, a third session is offered from 7.15 AM to 8.15 AM, contingent on the number of visiting guests.

However, it's essential to note that the afternoon session, which was originally scheduled from 3 PM to 4 PM, has been temporarily closed for tourists due to unavoidable reasons.

Kaziranga National Park has been a treasure trove of biodiversity, home to numerous endangered species, including the famous one-horned rhinoceros.

The elephant safaris provide an eco-friendly way to witness this enchanting realm of nature.

Tourists planning to visit the park can now make their reservations and schedule their safaris.
