Assam Education Minister Claims Successful College Admissions On Samarth_eGov Portal

 

GUWAHATI: In a recent statement, the Assam State Education Minister, Ranoj Pegu, expressed satisfaction over the smooth progress of college admissions in the state announcing that the Samarth_eGov portal has proven to be an effective platform for streamlining the admission process. 

As per official reports, a total of 180,000 applicants have applied through the portal, and 43,330 admissions have already been completed.

With a combined intake capacity of 182,000 seats, including Dibrugarh University (DibruUniv), Gauhati University (GauhatiUni), and Bodoland University (BodolandU), the admissions process has been progressing steadily.

Pegu assured students that the admission process will continue until July 22, urging them not to worry about their chances of securing a seat.

Ranoj Pegu took to Twitter in this regard to put out, “Admissions in our Colleges are going well in @Samarth_eGov portal. 180 K applicants applied and 43330 admissions have taken place. Our total intake capacity is 182 K under @DibruUniv @GauhatiUni and @BodolandU. Admission will continue till 22 July. Students should not worry.”
