Dr. Jitendra Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, inaugurated the Inclusive Technology Business Incubator (iTBI) at Assam down town University (AdtU) during National Science Day celebrations at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
The occasion was graced by Prof. N.C. Talukdar, Vice Chancellor of AdtU, Prof. Sunandan Baruah, DEng, Director of DISA, AdtU, along with representatives from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. The launch of iTBI marks a crucial step towards fostering technology-driven startups and research in the Northeast.
Assam down town University has also been sanctioned ₹4.73 crores under the iTBI project by DST to support and incubate startups in Healthcare and Information & Communication Technology (ICT). The initiative aims to provide cutting-edge infrastructure, mentorship, and funding support to young entrepreneurs, researchers, and innovators, strengthening the region’s startup ecosystem.
