GUWAHATI: Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Goalpara Division, Jitendra Kumar has been placed under suspension with immediate effect.
As per reports, the DFO has been placed under suspension based on several alleged cases registered against him.
The Environment and Forest Department of Assam, in an official order, on June 6, announced Jitendra Kumar’s suspension.
The order said during the period of suspension, subsistence allowance is allowed to Jitendra Kumaras per the prescribed provision of the FR 53 (I) (ii) (a) subject to condition under sub-Rule (2) of F.R.53.
According to the official order, the next senior officer is allowed to hold the post of DFO, Goalpara Division, till the joining of Tejas Mariswamy, who has been asked to take over as the next DFO.
Despite repeated attempts, Jitendra Kumar was not available for comments. The notification has been added below for reference.
